Wacoal Gives Back
As a company dedicated to women, Wacoal plays an active role in supporting the fight against breast cancer. We are proud of the contribution we have made to this cause through our decades-long partnership with Susan G. Komen®.
25 Years of Support
1999: The Awareness Bra was introduced with a pink ribbon on the back for breast cancer awareness, and we started to donate $2 to Susan G. Komen® for every Awareness Bra sold during the month of October.
2001: We launched the Fit for the Cure® program with events at department stores nationwide and donated $2 to Komen for every complimentary bra fitting. We also started to donate $2 to Komen when a designated style was purchased during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
2005: The Fit for the Cure® program was expanded to include an additional $2 donated for every Wacoal bra sold at an event.
2013: The Fit for the Cure® program launched in Canada.
2018: We introduced an online booking tool, making it more convenient for women to schedule a bra fitting at an event.
2021: Our Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative evolved to include all online purchases during a designated period in October.
2022: The millionth bra fitting was conducted at a Fit for the Cure® event.
2023: Wacoal started to donate $5 to Komen for everyone who completes the steps to digitally size themselves with our mybraFit™ tool.
2026: Fit for the Cure® celebrates 25 years, with more than $6.3 million donated to Susan G. Komen®.
Stronger Together
100% of our donations to Susan G. Komen® are used for breast cancer patient support provided by the Komen’s Patient Care Center. The Patient Care Center provides emotional support through the free Breast Care Helpline, access to breast health services, financial assistance programs, information about clinical trials, breast health and breast cancer education, and more.
